Welcome to St George's Church of England Primary School

"A flourishing fellowship: learning together with God by our side"

Welcome to the St George’s Bickley CE Primary School website which we hope you will find both informative and helpful.

Our aim is to provide new and prospective families with information about the school’s ethos, procedures and policies and also to keep existing parents up to date with day to day news and information.

Established in 1869, St George’s has always been well known within the local area as being a small and welcoming community primary school. St George’s provides a happy, stable and caring environment whereby our children, staff and parents work actively in partnership to enable all children to realise their full potential.

Within our friendly environment all children feel valued, secure, listened to and know that their welfare and education is paramount. Our dedicated staff is committed to developing the children’s knowledge, skills and understanding, whilst enabling the children to enjoy learning, take risks, and become independent thinkers and confident individuals.

St George’s is a Forest School. Forest School, through its ethos and curriculum, can provide an environment in which a child can grow and learn in a calm, active and purposeful atmosphere. Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment with trees. Forest School is a specialised learning approach that sits within and compliments the wider context of outdoor education.

We are positive that, in choosing St George’s, you will be making the right choice for your child’s education and future development.
