Meeting the Needs of Pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Our SEND practitioner, Mrs Michelle Fahey (also Inclusions Manager), supports St George’s and the needs of our pupils.

The SEND Code of Practice states that children have special educational needs (SEND) if they have a learning difficulty which calls for special educational provision to be made for them. Provision is that which is additional to or different from the support given to children of the same age.

St George’s supports children with a variety of SEND, within each of the four broad areas of needs, including Communication and interaction; Cognition and learning; Social, Emotional and Mental Health; Sensory and/or Physical needs.

Please contact Michelle should you have any queries, concerns or complaints in relation to special educational needs.
