Modern Foreign Language (MFL)
Students are taught Spanish from Year 3. We have a specialist class teacher whose first language is Spanish. Through their cultural heritage, knowledge and enthusiasm they are able to motivate and engage our students.
Spanish is taught through the use of familiar and/or authentic high quality texts, songs and videos. All of this provides our pupils with the opportunity to explore similarities, differences and representation between the Spanish and the English language. In addition, this allows us to extend their learning to enquire into the richness and diversity of the countries, people, faiths and religions, traditions and cultures of the Spanish speaking world.
